Panoramis treats flea infestations, flea allergy dermatitis, prevents heartworm disease, controls hookworm, roundworm and whipworm. It treats for all of these things in the 1 tablet for 1 full month.
Any size or breed of dog can use Panoramis. You just need to make sure you give them the right dosage size. There are 5 different dosage sizes you can give depending on the dogs weight. All packets are clearly labeled and colored coded.
If your dog is larger than 120 lbs or 54 kgs then you will need to give more than 1 tablet to your dog to fully treat him. For example if your dog weighs 154 lbs or 70 kgs you will give him 1 tablet for dogs 60.1-120 lbs (27.1-54 kgs) from the brown packet and 1 tablet for dogs 20.1-40 lbs (9.1-18 kgs) for the green packet.
For each 1 kg of body weight the dog needs 30 mg of spinosad or for each 1 lb of body weight the dog will need 13.5 mg of spinosad.
Each Panoramis tablet will last for 1 month at a time. It is recommended that you treat your dog each month and especially each month when mosquitoes are present.
Panoramis uses spinosad to treat fleas and milbemycin oxime to treat for heartworm and intestinal worms.
You can buy Panoramis in a single dose which treats 1 dog for 1 month, 6 packs which treats 1 dog for 6 months and 12 packs which will treat 1 dog for 1 year.
Pink for dogs 5-10 lbs (2.3-4.5 kgs), orange for dogs 10.1-20 lbs (4.6-9 kgs), green for dogs 20.1-40 lbs (9.1-18 kgs), blue for dogs 40.1-60 lbs (18.1-27 kgs) and brown for dogs 60.1-120 lbs (27.1-54 kgs).
You only need to use Panoramis once a month. The exception to this is if your dog vomits an hour after oral application, you then should re-dose right away. If you notice your dog has fleas before the month is up, you should dose with Comfortis or a topical flea treatment.
The great thing about Panormais is that your dog can swim or be washed right away after application, and it can swim or be bathed within the month without any negative effect to the medicine. Your dog being wet will not effect the results of how well Panoramis works.
You can start using Panoramis on Puppies from 8 weeks of age. Please note that puppies less than 14 weeks of age may experience an increased rate of vomiting. If this occurs dont be discourage, its just that they are not use to this kind of medication and you should re-dose.
The ingredient spinosad also used in Comfortis has proved to be amazing in the way of killing and stopping fleas. Panoramis uses the same dosage of spinosad as Comfortis and Comfortis is the leader in flea treatments at the moment. We expect Panoramis to work just as well, if not better.
It should be stored in a relatively cool area, away from light and out of the reach of children. It should be stored below 25c.
The spinosad will kill fleas within 30 minutes of oral administration and will kill 100% of fleas within 4 hours. Because it kills fleas quickly, spinosad controls flea allergy dermatitis.
